 Siula Grande research

Siula Grande is a mountain in the Peruvian Andes and is famous for being included in the book touching the void.
The Peruvian Andes are in south america and contains the most unclimbed mountains of any mountain range.

In 1985 Siula Grande was climbed by Joe Simpson and Simon Yates. Their ascent was made famous by Simpson’s book Touching the Void, which describes the ascent and subsequent harrowing descent of the mountain.

    Good picture! I like your fact about the Peruvian mountains being the least climbed mountains. Now find out some more information about the climate and the appearance of the mountains. This will help you to understand the atmosphere for Simon, Joe and Richard.
