A child you see in the street.
His eyelids never separated at birth, he appears to be in constant pain, and the first thing that you think is “that poor bugger must have a terrible life”. I should know, because I saw him just yesterday.
The child’s mother never had the chance of abortion in her home country, but that look in her eye lets you know that she would have cancelled to save her and her child’s pain.
Many scenarios, all the same question. Abort?
Many children are born with disabilities and abnormalities which endanger their or their mothers lives, and the only humane decision is to terminate the birth. What would you do?
As one child is born per minute, on average, and, also on average, there are 1.9 children per women in this country. So surely the choice of whether to continue with the pregnancy or to abort is with the parents and mainly the women, than with the bureaucrats?
Even the religious view point on abortion is unclear. Quotes like “cursed be the day I was born” show how even the prophets believed that some peoples lives would have been better if they never existed, and ” when men strive together, women are hurt and harm follows”. Which clearly shows that, if the decision whether to abort is taken out of the hands of women, then pain will inevitably follow.
The birth rate in this country is reaching crisis levels. Pair this with the health care cuts and the closing of Hospitals and the decision whether Abortion is allowed is made easier every day. If the mother wants to abort for a legitimate reason than it is in the benefit of her and the state to terminate the birth, saving time, money and possibly even pain and suffering.
As the foetus isn’t counted as a human life until 24 weeks, which is the latest time at which you can get a legal abortion, then abortion, scientifically, cannot be seen as murder and even the religious people of the world can’t argue with the facts of science without also arguing with their own religion, which when read literally, states the after a certain period in the womb, a “child becomes a child”
I now welcome the opposition to give their view on the matter.
