facebook satire

Facebook makes you happy, sad, HAPPY, SAD. Lets just agree to disagree!

Feeling low? Sign on to Facebook and be happy!
Feeling good? Sign on to Facebook and be miserable!
Scientists have proven that Facebook can change your mood positively and scientists have also proven that Facebook can also change your mood negatively, just like everything else in life.

This paper, famous for their 100% accuracy and morale high ground, seem to  have gotten confused. 144 and/or 600  out of  over 1 billion users is obviously a reliable and accurate test, around 0.001% of Facebook’s population.

Testing people with previous mental health issues has been scientifically proven to improve and damage result accuracy when testing effects of social networking on emotions. This has been proven by the same two universities as the paper has used.

I like this piece of writing; the beginning of the article definitely highlights the contrary nature of the stories. I like the way you use a complex sentence to highlight the satire in the clause “just like everything else in life”.

The next two paragraphs are a bit weaker – I think you lose the sophistication a little with the use of the word ‘obviously’. The ‘seem to have gotten confused’ also does not really make sense. Perhaps experiment with these two paragraphs a little more to see if you can capture the subtlety of your introduction.
